Here at Sin Nickel, we pride ourselves on our principled skepticism. We have strong doubts about conventional wisdom, especially when common presumptions favor the powerful.

War is the most profound example of conventional wisdom gone awry. Conventional wisdom has it that getting huge groups of people assembled for the purpose of killing and wounding other people, destroying the accumulation of their work and causing havoc in their society, is an effective tool for positive change.

We're assembling an international directory of antiwar organizations because it has become clear that the abolition of war would be a much more effective tool for positive change than war itself could ever be.
